About the role
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in the Order-to-Cash process, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and high-quality financial data. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders while contributing to the development of a modern, digital-first finance function within a dynamic and international environment.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
Own and execute key activities within the Order-to-Cash process, including customer credit management, invoicing, returns, and payment allocation.
Ensure accurate maintenance of Customer Master Data in the ERP system, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
Analyze overdue receivables, perform dunning activities, manage disputes, and follow up on customer payments to support healthy cash flow.
Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments, providing timely and professional support.
Support monthly, quarter-end, and year-end closings for Accounts Receivable related activities, ensuring compliance with internal standards and timelines.
Prepare and review AR-related GL account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
Monitor key AR KPIs such as DSO and aging reports, providing insights and proposing improvement actions.
Collaborate in cross-functional meetings and share reporting insights with internal stakeholders.
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and harmonize AR processes.
Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, and other functions to ensure smooth collaboration and continuous improvement.
What we hope you’ll bring to the team
Experience in an Accounts Receivable or Order-to-Cash role, ideally within an international or shared services environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and internal control frameworks, including SOX.
Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP or SAP S/4HANA, and advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
Exposure to Power BI, Power Apps, or automation tools is considered a plus.
Fluent English, both written and spoken, at C1 level.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, collaborative attitude with a strong willingness to learn and improve processes.
