We are currently seeking an experienced Swedish VAT Manager who enjoys working with VAT Compliance & Advisory in an international context. As a valued member of our Tax Team, which currently comprises of five tax specialists, you'll have the opportunity to work with VAT Compliance & Advisory services in a stimulating international environment alongside a unique Geely network of tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Advice on general VAT matters related to both domestic and international trade of goods and services, Real Estate, Re-organizations, M&A-transactions etc.,

• Develop Policy, Process & Routine analysis for VAT reporting & VAT filing,

• Conduct internal VAT Reporting on taxes paid & analyze potential VAT errors,

• Support in communications with tax authorities & external advisors,

• Monitor & digest domestic & international VAT framework development,

• Internal education of new legislations that may impact the Group.

You support numerous internal stakeholders within Geely to ensure compliance. You keep updated on VAT developments, summarize the essentials and assess their impact on the business. You lead training seminars with your colleagues in the Tax Team and work with external advisors on different projects. A natural part of your assignment will be to support with the digital transformation journey within the area of tax compliance and tax reporting.

Experience and Skills Required

You have relevant Academic Degree (Swedish Tax Law and/or Finance) and you are fluently in English. You have gained your specialist VAT competence from several years of work experience, preferably from an audit firm, in-house tax department or Swedish Tax Agency.

It is meritorious to have approximately 7+years of work experience and knowledge within other related areas such as ERP systems, International Tax Structuring and VAT analysis combined with other tax disciplines.

You are a service minded Team player with an analytic and proactive approach that work and deliver with a consultative mindset. You continuously document your legal VAT analysis and advice delivered in accordance with in-house process & routines. You are familiar with accounting systems to analyze and retrieve data, and you master standard software programs e.g. word, excel & power-point.

Your strong level of professional know-how in the area facilitates for you to work independently and an ability to deliver to deadlines while retaining delivery of best practice and accuracy. You strive for continuous improvement combined with integrity, pedagogical skills, and a pragmatic approach.
